Dubai Insurance Company (DIN) was incorporated on the 8th of October 1970 by His Highness Late Sheikh Rashid Al Maktoum as the first local company in the UAE.
Since then, DIN has always provided an excellent service to its clientele.

The major transformation took place when the newly, agile and proactive Board of Directors was elected in early 2006.
Together with the new management team, the Board of Directors tripled and doubled DIN’s revenues, profitability and client offering, while maintaining the same unique values the founders were keen to establish.
Revenues went up from AED 24 million in 2006 to AED 3 billion in 2024, without compromising profitability.

Under its composite P&C and Life License, DIN offers a varied portfolio of products, including Property, Liability, Marine, Group Life, Medical and many other specialty lines like Credit and Surety.
Furthermore, DIN prides itself on partnering with leading international reinsurers, offering clients the solutions necessary for all their traditional and non-traditional risk management needs.

Over the course of 15 years, DIN has worked hard to consistently maintain and increase its rating score and these steady increases in growth can be witnessed over time.
In acknowledgment of DIN’s performance and positive outlook, both AM Best and Fitch Ratings have assigned DIN an “A” (Excellent) Financial Strength Rating and A2 from Moody’s.
In parallel, DIN has seen a steady growth, in profits as well as premiums .

Yet, what we are mostly proud of at DIN, is our contribution to the community and our ability to work closely with government entities to ensure that community members, living or visiting the UAE, have the necessary insurance to protect them, while making society work at peace as evidenced by the Worker’s Protection Program(WPP) , Involuntary Loss of Employment(ILOE) and the Worker’s Health Insurance in the Northern Emirates (WHI) Pools.
