The Emirates Classification Society (TASNEEF) and its subsidiaries work to improve its clients’ safety, environmental and business performance. Its expertise and activities cover Maritime Classification, Certification (Management Systems, Product & Personnel), Assets Integrity and Training.
TASNEEF was established in 2012 as the First Local Classification Society in United Arab Emirates (UAE) as well as in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region and Arab world. TASNEEF is the preeminent Classification Society in the UAE. The primary mission of TASNEEF is to serve the UAE’s interest, as well as the needs of our clients by promoting the security and safety of life and property, and protecting and preserving the natural environment in our vital Industries, Maritime and Certification Domain.
TASNEEF operates in national and international markets. TASNEEF is the most effective and efficient provider of marine and offshore classification services in the UAE, in addition to Certification through our Business Assurance Subsidiary and training courses through our Training section. We achieve this through strategic partnerships with established Classification Societies, Experienced Leadership, Professional Staff, and applying Leading Edge Technologies. TASNEEF provides the Maritime Industry in the UAE and region the highest international standards relating to Safety, Environment, Comfort of life and property, and Environment Protection and Prevention aboard Maritime centric assets through certification processes.
TASNEEF is the first national society that aims at raising, complying with and applying high standards of efficiency and quality of services in different domain.
In 2016, TASNEEF established the following subsidiaries:
- TASNEEF Maritime Services which is the sole classification society within TASNEEF. It issues Rules relating to among others, Classification of ships.
- TASNEEF-RINA Business Assurance which is an International Certification body providing Certifications, Training and Advisory Services;
- TASNEEF Asset Integrity which is accredited company for ensuring safety in the industry irrespective of its activities by means of Third-Party Inspection, Training, and Consultancy.
