Marafi Marine Contracting L.L.C was established in 2012 initially under the name Great Land Contracting which is part of Land Traders Group (established since 2007).
Upon completion of the strategic project of the Umm Al Quwain Desalination Plant’s Intake Channel and Breakwaters early 2021, the management decided to consolidate the marine expertise into one specialized company, the same lead to the birth of the name Marafi Marine Contracting.
All the marine expertise and assets were transferred from LTC Group into Marafi in order to act independently as a Marine Specialized Contractor.
Marafi’s name originates from the Arabic word (Marfa’a) which means Harbor or Port, Marafi is the plural of Marfa’a which means in return Ports or Harbors.
Marafi has been proving its presence as a specialized Marine Contracting Company with various strategic projects in its portfolio.
