Saudi Arabia and Finland deepen cooperation in ICT to boost digital economy

Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Finland have signed a memorandum in ICT, with the aim of strengthening strategic partnership to support the digital economy  growth and experiences exchange.

The memorandum was signed by the Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Abdullah Alswaha, and by the Finnish Minister of Foreign Trade and Development, Mr. Ville Tavio in MCIT office in Riyadh.

Under the agreement, the two countries will cooperate in the development of emerging technologies, IoT, cloud, new wireless network technologies, digital capacity development, and government digital transformation.

The signed agreement will develop joint programs, covering capacity building, joint research projects related to technology foresight, and coordination of private sectors in Saudi Arabia and Finland.
